Perched overlooking the River Yealm in the South of Devon, Thorn House and Gardens is a tranquil spot for your wedding celebrations.

Refurbished in the early 19th century, Thorn House has played host to guests such as the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Edinburgh at exquisite past events. In the 1920s, the garden was a point of pride, as it was developed and cultivated into a stunning site by William Arkwright.

Uniquely a family run wedding venue, they offer a personal approach to every wedding on its grounds. Their event coordinator can help you with every part of planning.

Its stunning landscaped gardens and Georgian façade makes it a quintessential English country wedding location.

Thorn House and Gardens continues to be known for its listed plants scattered throughout the picturesque surrounding lawns. Other than weddings, the venue offers guided garden tours and is often used in filming.

Marquee package prices start at £2600 for 60 to 90 people, and go up to £3900 for up to 120 people.

Thorn House supplies friendly staffing for your wedding, ensuring a smooth event. Choose from a two course meal, barbecue or hog roast, various buffets, canapés and platters from as little as £5 to 43 per head. A children's menu is also available.

Drinks packages are from £8.50 to £20.50 per head, served from a stylish LED lit bar.
