History

The Woodman Inn is situated right next to the Nuthamsptead Airfield Museum, with the USAAF commissioning an airfield and camp in Nuthampstead in 1942. The Inn itself has some fantastic photos that document its interesting wartime history. The Inn itself was built in the 17th century and was frequently visited by American airmen stationed nearby; the incredible team running The Woodman Inn have saluted to their colourful history by offering a selection of English and American cuisine.

This package includes private room hire, creating an elegant setting for your special day. To enhance the ambience, we provide stunning banqueting furniture, including round tables adorned with crisp white linens and elegant Chiavari chairs, ensuring a timeless and sophisticated look for your celebration.

Accommodation

The Woodman Inn has two beautiful rooms on site, The Pheasant room and The Fallow room, both available in 2 twin beds or 1 double bed. Each room has a nod of décor to their local surrounding wildlife. To add to the cosy vibes of the venue, the rooms come equipped with tea and coffee. Breakfast is available from 9am, but this is an additional cost to the room. There are plenty of places to stay nearby for friends and family, and the wonderful team would be able to point you in the right direction if needed.
