The wedding garden is a perfect place for wedding photos, welcome drinks and canapés. The centre has an in-house wedding planner who is happy to tailor everything to your every need.
In 1210, David Rufus became the lord of the manor of Flitwick. The Rufus family remained thus for 150 years. Their coat of arms consisted of 2 black leopards, still used as the official emblem of the town. The civic and community building is known as the Rufus Centre.
The suite is licenced to host ceremonies and has a contemporary and smart look that can be transformed with any decoration you like. There are windows on all three walls making the room flood with natural light, giving an airy feel. It's this which makes the room so popular to host ceremonies.
Ceremony capacity - 70 guests
The Moorfield room is also a bright and airy space and is the smaller of the three ceremony rooms making it perfect for very intimate ceremonies. It has views looking over the centre's lawns.
Ceremony capacity - 30 guests
This suite is the largest and located just off the main foyer. Its décor is really for you to choose and again, like the other two suites, provides a blank canvas for you to create a theme around. The room has a permanent dancefloor and they can also supply an LED dancefloor if you prefer.
Seating capacity- 200 guests
Step outside through the trellis archway to the beautiful wedding garden. Its views create a wonderful backdrop for your wedding photos. It's perfect for hosting your drinks reception.
The centre can provide a bar fully equipped and stocked along with a bartender. However, if you prefer to have a personal touch, the bar can be available for hire for you to stock with your own drinks and perhaps have a friend or relative to tend the bar.
The Rufus Centre can provide its own caterers and offer three course menus for you to choose from. Alternatively, they can provide a buffet menu instead.
The centre welcomes other caterers of your choice and use of their fully equipped kitchen.

We got married on the 22nd August and had our reception at the Rufus Centre, the place looked absolutely stunning. Sarah and everybody worked so hard to make our day perfect, I will definitely recommend you to friends and family looking for a venue.
It's just perfect. The Rufus Centre is amazing the staff treat you like a queen. It's a classic venue and I had a classy wedding, I loved it.
