The Octagon Barn is unique and the only building of its type, unchanged from its original design. Built around the late 1600s to the early 1700s (the lack of builder’s records don’t help us to date it precisely!) as a non-conformist Methodist meeting chapel, the original 8-side shape sits under a magnificent open vaulted octagon roof to give a grand central atrium.

Gold Package

This is the perfect package for those that wish to have their whole day take place at one venue, with seven licensed ceremony areas, you have many beautiful spaces to exchange vows. Having your ceremony in one of our outdoor areas enables you to surprise your guests with the magic that awaits in The Octagon Barn, for your wedding breakfast and evening reception. Utilise each area depending on what is right for you and your partner, for example you may choose to have an outdoor ceremony and head inside for the evening, or an indoor ceremony and an alfresco feast, they have a beautiful range of spaces available to create your dream day, which are also great backdrops for photos, games and drinks receptions!

Silver Package

If you are looking for a fun and unique venue with beautiful historic features and a great atmosphere for your wedding reception, the Silver Package is designed specifically for you. With the same 3 day exclusive hire as the Gold Package, you have all the time needed to prepare for the big night, along with chairs, tables, a dancefloor and a catering tent. You will receive the same support and guidance from the Wedding & Events Team as if you were getting married here, as well as their extensive list of trusted and recommended suppliers.
