Our son and his wife held their wedding reception here and many of the guests stayed too. It was a wonderful day, the hotel is in a beautiful setting and everyone had a great time. The wedding breakfast exceeded our expectations and the staff were all very attentive. Our thanks to Karen and the staff for making the day so special.

  • The Delighted Couple

We recently got married at this lovely hotel in Limpley Stoke. With the old country house setting it was just perfect. The rooms were nice, most of our wedding guests stayed the night before too and the staff were very accommodating, we had quite a big dinner the night before and the food and setting was great. Each room is different but all very clean and tidy.
The actual wedding day itself was amazing, great organisation from Karen our wedding co-ordinator, it was everything we would have wanted and more. Food was great and staff were helpful. I'm a coeliac so need my food gluten free, breakfast was cooked separately for me and we'll catered for the dinner the night before our wedding and on our wedding day itself.
    Thank you!

  • Rachael & Michael - 4/05/2018

I want to start by saying our day was amazing and we appreciate that a lot of this was because of the staff at The Limpley Stoke Hotel and Karen the wedding coordinator. They did not have it easy with us, we had a range of ages (11 months to 80+ years), food allergies (dairy free, gluten free, alcohol intolerance, nut allergy, orange allergy, vegetarian) and various disabilities (wheelchairs, walking frames etc). Nothing seemed to bother them and they made everything seem easy!
As the bride I decided to stay the night before, along with some of my family and friends. We received the warmest of welcomes (even with everyone booking in with the same surname!) and they just made the whole experience relaxed and easy.
Whilst we sourced some of our suppliers ourselves, all of which said it was a pleasure to work with the venue, we took advantage of many recommended by Karen, all of which were fantastic and I would personally recommend; Michael the pianist, Stan the DJ and the hog roast company (I apologise I cannot remember the name).
Karen really does listen to what you want and everything was set up perfectly, the staff are so helpful and the day just ran smoothly.
The food here is fantastic; breakfast, canapés, sit down meals, we received so many comments from guests on how lovely it all was.
More people choose to stay the night of the wedding and everyone commented on how nice their rooms were. We agreed to breakfast at the same time and there were tables reserved so we could all be together.
We would highly recommend The Limpley Stoke Hotel as a wedding venue but also as somewhere lovely to stay.
A massive thank you to Karen and all the staff.

  • Happy Bride and Groom

We had our wedding on the 14th of February and out of all of the wedding venues we visited, Limpley Stoke has the best value and so much included. Karen was so helpful in suggesting ways to make our day as special as possible without trying to make us spend any extra than we needed to.

The day itself went perfectly and we could not have asked to get married in a lovelier venue with nicer staff.

I fully recommend Limpley Stoke as a wedding venue!

  • Happy Bride and Groom - 11/02/2017

We had our wedding here in January and it was an absolutely wonderful day! Karen, the wedding coordinator, was so helpful and organised. In the planning process, she made us feel like we could contact her with any questions no matter how small or complicated. All the way throughout the planning and on the day itself, Karen was always friendly, professional highly organised and had everything under control. The hotel is a beautiful venue for a wedding with gorgeous views for outdoor photos and beautiful interior. The food was great and the day ran so smoothly. Stan the resident DJ was also fantastic and played all of our requested songs. Overall the day was absolutely amazing. We would like to say a massive thank you to Karen and all the staff at Limpley Stoke who helped to make our wedding day so amazing!

  • Mr and Mrs Sampson - 11/12/2016

We got married here on the 11th December and it was perfect. Karen our wedding planner was warm, friendly and very professional, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were excellent, and the food was 5*!We were made to feel like the most important people in the hotel. The in house DJ was brilliant. I can't praise the staff and the venue highly enough. Thank you for making our wedding day magical.

  • Natalie and Nick - 05/11/2016

My husband and I selected The Limpley Stoke hotel at the beginning of 2016 and married on 5th November this year. After being shown around the hotel by the duty manager we knew we had found the perfect location for us.

The hotel itself is nestled beautifully in the quaint little valley, surrounded by the village and countryside, which makes for the most amazing photos! The interior of the hotel both elegant and comfortable. It doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't, which is part of its charm, and also what drew us to get married here.

The staff are also a large part of the reason we thought the hotel surpassed all other venues we looked at! At each visit, staff brought us complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits, no other venue offer this complimentary! Every single member of staff we saw smiled and said hello, every time we visited, from managers to cleaners. And nothing we asked for was ever too much trouble. These may seem little things but help highlight what you can expect when booking an event here.

As for the day itself, wow, what a day!!! We couldn't have wished for anything better and would not change a thing! Staff were amazing, so attentive, yet not intrusive. Food was AMAZING!!

  • C Hudson - 12/11/2016

Me and my husband had our wedding here on the 12th November 2016. The hotel and surroundings are beautiful and quiet, the hotel staff were incredible and made sure we were happy all day and very helpful. Karen was amazing at helping to make sure our wedding was how we wanted it. Everyone is friendly and kind and more than happy to help. The hotel is beautiful and clean with a very warm feeling to it. The food was incredible and everyone commented on it throughout the day. We had the best day and it ran so smoothly. I would highly recommended getting married or staying here. We will be back again to stay and have food. Thank you again!

    For Karen Thompson wedding planner,
Just a quick note to say THANK YOU so much for everything that you did to make our day so special and stress free and all the staff at the Limpley stoke are an absolute credit to the hotel.

All of our guests have said what a lovely hotel and a fantastic ceremony and celebration you provided, the food was amazing, any minor hiccups were dealt with swiftly.

Thank you so much for organising us on the day, as this all combined to make this such an amazing and special day to remember for our guests and for the both of us, it was above and beyond what we ever expected and will stay in our memories for a very long time.

    Thank you so much

  • Happy Bride

Where can I begin?! Brilliant 5* service from beginning to end. During the build up to the wedding we had regular interaction and meetings with sam the onsight wedding co-ordinator who was fantastic! All the staff on the day were superb could not fault one thing! Karen the manager was also fantastic and was so helpful on the day of the wedding. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a wedding or just to stay and have food, food was excellent and there were plenty of rooms for guests to stay and all have breakfast together in the morning.

Thank you for making our day so special.
