The Kings Chapel is an all-inclusive venue that can host your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. The Chapel can seat up to 120 guests on round tables for your wedding breakfast or up to 134 for a scrumptious feast.
This luxury room is the perfect place to exchange your vows with a spectacular domed ceiling and original architectural features. The Main Hall retains the original pulpit which makes the perfect backdrop for your "I Do's", or even stand above the crowd and marry on the pulpit. The Main Hall is also the banqueting space; the team will seamlessly turn the room over from ceremony to wedding breakfast while you enjoy a drink and some photographs. There are several layout options available to make the ceremony room your own.
Dance the night away under glittering chandeliers, the perfect lighting for your first dance. This room is also the indoor option for your drinks reception between the ceremony and wedding breakfast.
The picturesque private walled garden overlooks the Chiltern Hills. If you are dreaming of an intimate outdoor ceremony, the garden is the perfect setting. The space can also host your outdoor drinks reception amongst the blossoming flowers. The garden Horse Box Bar allows guests to grab a drink outside during the drinks reception!
From welcoming canapes, a 2, 3 or 4 course feasts, BBQs to a champagne afternoon tea, the wonderful chef can tailor the menu to suit you! The Kings Chapel has a fabulous selection of evening catering options too including our on-site wood fired pizza oven, hog roast and paella stations!
The main indoor bar stocks a variety of beverages including wine, Champagnes and spirits. They even have their very own Old Amersham gin, infused with botanicals grown in the heart of Amersham.
There is also a residents' bar in the hotel which is open until 2 am and exclusively yours between midnight and 2am.
The Chapel has two 4* hotels which are located right next door. Choose to stay in either The Kings Arms Hotel or The Crown Inn, both of which have disabled access and family suites.

King's Chapel was the perfect fairytale venue. We visited it and fell in love and knew straight away that it was the venue for us. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Everyone was so friendly, special mention to Sallieann and Kiera who are the most wonderful people and supported us through every step. The food was incredible and the venue looked beautiful. We wish we could do it again!

My husband and I were still looking for our perfect dream venue with 9 months to go before our wedding, until he came across the King’s Chapel. Every moment from our initial consultation with our team, to the big day was nothing short of exceptional. The King’s Chapel have a strong and long standing relationship with their suppliers, and this could be seen when you speak to the suppliers at the King’s Chapel Wedding Showcase days. From this event, my husband and I were able to source everything we needed very early on, which meant that the wedding planning was far less stressful than we had anticipated!
As for the service provided by the King’s Chapel team, we honestly cannot sing their praises enough. Especially Lara, who had been our wedding planner and is an individual who is very attentive, thoughtful and radiates positive energy. Lara knew how nervous and stressed my husband and I had been, but she made us feel very looked after and it showed throughout our wedding planning journey. Lara and the King's Chapel team pulled everything off to a tee! The food during the wedding and breakfast the next day were delicious, and the rooms at the King’s Arms are super cosy and romantic. The staff were all so lovely and went above and beyond for us and our guests. From start to finish, we’ve had an absolutely amazing time with the King’s Chapel, and we cannot thank them enough for ensuring that we had the most beautiful and perfect ceremony.

We had the best day! Our wedding at the Kings Chapel could not have been more perfect. Sallieann and Kiera were absolutely wonderful to work with, and made the normally stressful process really enjoyable. The venue itself is gorgeous and the bespoke menu that was designed for us was amazing - all our guests keep telling us how much they loved the food. We also worked with some contractors affiliated with the venue who were also amazing. We feel very lucky to have worked with such an amazing team - the result was a day which was more memorable than we could have dreamed of. Thank you Sallieann and Kiera!!
Where do I start... firstly, Kiera is absolutely amazing at her job. She goes above and beyond wherever possible and makes everything feel easy and stress free. She was always on hand and made our wedding day perfect. I cannot thank her enough.
The venue itself is stunning. It's unique and magical. I was stunned to see it when it was all dressed for the day. Although the venue is close the Highstreet you would not realise it at all. It was the perfect venue for us and ideal for a party of 80 or less. The venue is perfect and made the day so special. I had guests saying all day how beautiful, intimate and perfect it was for the day.
The food was amazing. We opted for the BBQ and it was delicious. All well-cooked. Had no complaints. Usually when you go to the wedding you still feel hungry as the day goes on. Not here. The portions of food were amazing you feel full and the food is excellent. We had a hog roast in the evening and again was so tasty and delicious.
Overall I could not put a fault on our day. I have had so many people saying it's the best venue they've been too for a wedding in every possible aspect. My wedding day was everything I could have asked for and more.

We had our wedding day here in May 2024 after booking in August 2022 and it was everything we hoped it would be!
This was the only venue we looked at before securing it for our date. The setting is amazing and it was the perfect size for our intimate wedding of 40, whilst still giving wow factor.
Everything was reasonably priced, the staff were attentive from the very beginning and our coordinator Lara was so obviously experienced. We were so impressed during our final meeting how she completely saw our vision even though she essentially only had our wedding plan to go off.
I’m a huge worrier, but the day went so smoothly, everything was perfect and exactly what I had been dreaming of for the last 2 years.

We recently got married at Kings Chapel and I can’t rate them highly enough. We were lucky enough to have Lara as our coordinator and she made the whole experience so much easier. No query I had (and I had many!) was ever too big of small. Our conversations by the end felt more like friends discussing a wedding which was so much nicer than it always feeling like a formal client/vendor relationship.
On the wedding day itself all the staff were extremely kind and accommodating of us and all of our guests and ensured that everything ran smoothly. I will forever be grateful that we found Kings Chapel and would highly recommend it to anyone planning an event.

Best day of our lives! The staff at Kings Chapel/Hotel were fantastic, very helpful and super friendly! We are so happy we picked the venue, it was gorgeous and a wonderful dining experience too. The food received tons of compliments, and the staff/chefs were so accommodating to tons of different food requirements (allergies/vegan/gluten free etc) thank you all again. Especially Lara, couldn’t have done it without all of your help. Especially with the last minute cake decorating ❤️

We had our wedding at the King's Chapel in December 2023 and the reception afterwards in the King's Arms Hotel. We arranged it at very short notice with the incredibly capable and efficient help of Sallieann and her team.
We couldn't have been happier! The King's Chapel is just stunning and the cosiness and the intimacy of the hotel was just what we hoped for. Sallieann was always available for appointments at short notice and has such a wealth of knowledge and experience to advise and help us.
We also stayed over at the hotel as did several of our guests. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well equipped and the breakfast was sensational.
We are very much looking forward to returning to celebrate our first wedding anniversary at the hotel and having the time to explore the beautiful high street of Old Amersham with its gorgeous shops.
We got married here in August 2023 and the day was better than we could have ever imagined.
The whole team were incredible from the day we first visited the venue and our wedding coordinator, Kiera, was absolutely fantastic. She always responded to all our emails quickly and was such a reassuring presence on the day.
We had so many comments from our guests about how beautiful the venue and surrounding area is, and everyone loved that everything was all in one place. We were so impressed with how the team incorporated everything we’d discussed in our planning meetings and how smoothly everything went on the day. The room turnarounds were so speedy and appeared effortless and our guests were really looked after.
The banqueting and evening team were also fantastic. The food was exceptional (we’re still dreaming about the pork belly that we had as our main course on the day!), and the team catered for all dietary requirements with no fuss at all.
Thank you to everyone involved in our day. It really was amazing, and I wish I could give you all more than 5 stars on this review!
What can I say?
Our wedding took my breath away. There was not a second that Kiera and her team were not working so so hard to make it run smoothly and look beautiful. Not a single hitch, everything looked unbelievable. The service was exceptional and the respect we were shown was off the scale. Everything from music to lighting, decoration to food to drinks to clearing away was amazing. We have no words. Our vision was met beyond our wildest dreams and when those doors opened I couldn't believe it was the same place that we viewed (which was already beautiful). Just stunning. And that party. Perfection.
Thank you so much to KS and Kiera for their support and hard work over the past year, especially as things got closer and we were especially needy. Kiera has been wonderful and we are so glad we were assigned her as our planner. She is so great at her job and we cannot thank her enough.
If you are thinking of booking Kings Chapel for your wedding, absolutely do it! From start to finish the support, advice and help was incredible! We have formed such a bond with Kings and its charm and plan to visit annually to revisit our venue for dinner & drinks.
A special mention to Lara our wedding coordinator, when we met she put us at ease and nothing was ever too much trouble - a huge support on the build up and on the day. Queries or questions were always answered efficiently and we built a great relationship.
Every supplier we spoke too, couldn’t recommend Kings highly enough which is exactly what you want and everyone worked like one big team - it was seamless and gave a great vibe to our day.
The food was incredible, everyone commented on this and especially one vegan guest who said they had never been so catered for before at a wedding - amazing. We had canapés which were delicious and Kings kept a separate board for Bride & Groom which was a lovely touch, the 3 course meal everyone commented on how incredible the food was but also the service was top notch, ticking off every guest as they went round each table and lots of servers which made everything smooth. We also had the wood fire pizza which went down such a treat at the end but of the night - delicious! & the gin bar which was beautifully put together with tonics, garnish etc.
We also had a meal the night before which was sooooo good too, amazing top quality pub classics! We stayed at the Kings Arms the night before and our wedding day and made use of the late night bar too. It was so great to be able to spend breakfast with our wedding party too! These extra options were great to have.
We would recommend The Kings Chapel to anyone. The Kings Chapel will always hold a special place in our hearts and we honestly had the best day! If we could do it again we would! Thank you!
