History

The Greenway Hotel was named after the ancient path running alongside the property, which has been used as a trading route through the Cotswolds for millennia. The manor house itself was built in 1584 by Robert Lawrence, and was then called the Little Shurdington Estate. In 1685 the house was passed on to William Lawrence who created the Shurdington Gardens as a family memorial. The estate remained in the Lawrence family up until 1854, and after changing hands a few times over the next century, was subsequently established as a hotel in 1947.

For an evening reception party, all the aforementioned rooms can be combined together to accommodate up to 130 guests.

For couples wishing to welcome their wedding guests to their very own manor house, an exclusive hire option is available.

Access to the Elen Spa, which offers a variety of pre- and post-wedding pampering options, is available to all wedding guests.

Catering

Delicious food is served at The Greenway Hotel And Spa; it is described as modern French with English influences, and the head chef uses locally-sourced, seasonal produce. Bespoke menus can be created for couples wishing for a unique meal, and various snack buffets can be provided during the evening.

The Greenway Hotel can offer 21 bedrooms, which consist of superior, deluxe, classic and master suites, to satisfy a range of different tastes. The Eden Hotels collection was recently named 'Small Hotel Group Of The Year' at the AA Hospitality Awards.
