Originally dating back as early as 1086, The Elvetham is steeped in rich history, having played host to Kings, Queens, Earls, Dukes, and more. In the 1800's the main house burnt down, but rebuilt by ecclesiastical architect Samuel Sanders Teulon, interpreting the ideas of the Baron of Calthrope.
Whilst The Elvetham maintains its classical image, it now plays host to anyone looking to make their wedding day more special.
With bookcase-lined walls, delicate oil paintings, oak beams and an ornate stone fireplace, you may find little need of your own decoration for this to be the ideal venue both for your ceremony and for the following formal reception.
