The Dreys is a family owned, fully licensed woodland festival style wedding venue. Having established quite the reputation for hosting incredible weddings, the owners continue to improve and grow their facilities. All eventualities are thought of, including the great British weather! In case of rain, the main venue area is wet weather proof and the covered deck walkways between locations ensure dry feet and perfectly styled hair in all weather conditions. The two heated marquees, facilities and spaces, staffing, glamping accommodation and all furniture are all included within the private hire. A key point to make here, and one which makes The Dreys unusual, is that they include an external professional wedding planning service within the hire charge. The Wedding Dolls will be on hand throughout the planning process and on the day coordination, making your dreams become reality.

Facilities

Dreys have superb facilities for your special day. You are able to hold a legal civil ceremony within The Barn or a humanist ceremony within The Barn or in the woodland. Coming for 2024, Dreys are installing a large wooden deck throughout the woodland ceremony area, along with wooden deck walkways, perfect for easy access and for guests wearing their best wedding heels!

The open sided barn, complete with farmyard chic corrugated iron roof and timbers which lend themselves to foliage, flowers and lighting, is licensed for civil ceremonies and makes a wonderful wet weather plan for those hoping to wed in the woodland. The wooden floor, brick fireplace and wooden oak pews set the scene for a truly romantic ceremony.

If you are looking to wed surrounded by bird call, the gentle swish of the trees as the breeze brushes past them, the earthy smell of the woodland, then you should consider a blessing or humanist ceremony within Squirrel Wood. Speak to the team to find out more.

Onto your wedding breakfast and evening reception, the fully heated marquees will play host to both of these. The marquees are connected by covered walkways.

Catering

Dreys believe that each and every couple deserve exceptional food and faultless service on their wedding day. All food and drink is taken care of inhouse, with the help of Steve Clark and Simon Mcnamara the founding directors of Invicta Food Design. All food is freshly prepared and cooked onsite, ensuring a dining experience that'll be remembered for years to come. Below are just some of Invicta Food Designs specialities:

Now let's get the bubbly poured and the glasses clinking. A prosecco drinks reception, wine with dinner and a toasting drink will cost around £20 per guest.

There is a required minimum spend on food of £2500 and £2000 on drinks.

Packages

Pricing and packaging at Dreys is clear and simple. The venue hire fee is typically between £8,000 - £13,000 and includes the following:

• Personal, friendly & supportive wedding planning package with on the day coordination from the award-winning Wedding dolls
• Exclusive use of venue and facilities includes 2 marquees, our Shelter building, vintage furniture indoors and outside with styling throughout.
• Use & set up of Ceremony area including real petal confetti for every guest
• 15 Glamping units & 10 spaces for pitch your own campers with locally sourced cooked breakfast the following day
• Bar and evening reception to 12am Saturday, Friday 12am and 10.30/11pm Sunday - Thursday
• Fire pit and day beds
• Dining tables, chairs with seat pads, table linens, crockery, cutlery, glassware, etc
• All staffing, cleaning, waste

Accommodation

Accommodation is included within the hire price of Dreys for weddings between the 20th May and the 1st October 2023, and the 18th May to the 28th September 2024. This includes:

• 12 Luxury Bell tents
• 2 Shepherd Huts
• 1 Private Woodland Cabin with ensuite; perfect for the bridal couples wedding night accommodation. Hidden amongst the woodland, The Woodcutters Cabin is private and includes a large decking area with firepit. What a wonderful way to end your special day.
• 10 Pitch your own spaces

The morning after the wedding you and your guests can continue the celebrations and blow away the cobwebs with a cooked breakfast, for up to 50 guests.
