About

Highly experienced hair stylist, Becks Simpson, launched her own freelance business, thairapy, in 2008. With over 20 years in the industry, Becks has worked with such famous figures in the styling world as; Sarah Brock and Molly Mishi May. She has also worked in some fabulous salons, including Convent Garden's Avenda Institute and Primrose Hill's The Mowgli Salon.

In 2015, Becks made the choice to move herself and her business to Cambridgeshire. Her new home leaves her perfectly located to cover the surrounding areas of Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Suffolk, North London and further!

The Hair

With a vast experience in styling brides' wedding do's, Becks decided to move the company in a new direction, choosing to specialise in another of her passions; Vintage styling.

For those of you looking to host a vintage or themed wedding, Becks is perfect able to create stunning victory rolls, the classic Bouffant and (for the more adventurous of you) even the towering beehive.

Becks has experience working with all different hair types and textures, even working with wigs. She is able to work with a maximum bridal party of six - ensuring that you and your bridesmaids are all looking fab. Becks works with a range of high quality styling products including; TRESemmé, TIGI and, new vegan addition, Maria Nila or can use different brands at your request.

Services

Becks will usually meet you two to three months before your wedding for a rehearsal styling, practising and perfecting your look for your big day. This is usually done at this time as you will most likely have chosen the dress and hair accessories at this point and so your hair can be styled to match.

On the day itself, Becks will arrive in plenty of time and will remain a calm, steadying presence amidst your wedding day preparations. She will stay with you right up until the moment you walk through the doors, putting the finishing touches to your hair, adjusting the veil and making sure that everybody's hair is pristine for the walk down the aisle.

Packages

Thairapy offers a range of wedding packages, suitable for a bride and a varying number of bridesmaids, alternatively bespoke packages are available. There is also an option to book a special half-day package. Becks will then return after the ceremony to restyle and rejuvenate your look before you greet your evening guests.

If you are looking for an unusual and exciting hen night, thairapy works in colaberation with Dolly's Vintage Tea Parties to create a vintage tea room experience. Setting up in a location of your choice the team will provide luxury vintage hairstyling while you and your friends enjoy a lovely afternoon tea.
