Meet the Band

The band is formed of three professional full-time musicians all from strong jazz musical backgrounds.

Tim is a freelance jazz trombonist and a recording musician. Having studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, he then went on to study jazz at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Ela grew up surrounded by jazz music as her father was a professional jazz pianist. As the vocalist of Summer Samba, she has been in the professional music industry for over ten years.

Matt is a professional jazz guitarist and has been for well over 20 years. His style is very relaxed and melodic and he plays a 7 string guitar with an extra base string adding a warm sound to the music.

Performance

Usually Summer Samba are requested to play as background music to your drinks reception whilst guests mingle, creating a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. They can also play for your wedding ceremony and will even play whilst you walk down the aisle. If you're a jazz enthusiast, they make a perfect addition to your big day.

Repertoire

Their soft sounds appeals to all ages, both young and old and they have an extensive repertoire of music ready for your special day. Summer Samba are happy to take any musical requests and will learn these prior to the event. However they are happy to take musical requests on the day and will do their best to accommodate.
