South Farm is an eco-friendly working farm, carefully nurtured by the Paxman family for over 40 years. Its border location makes it ideal for those seeking a wedding in Cambridgeshire or the surrounding counties. A collection of elegant on-site buildings provide the perfect setting for bohemian weddings, with pretty fairy-lit cherry trees lining the driveway and original beams in the rustic barns. Outside the barnyard is filled with lovely rare breed animals and is just one of many unique features at South Farm.

Choose from an eclectic range of enchanting spaces to hold either your ceremony or reception, from the Grade II listed house, pretty garden Summerhouse, to the Old Dairy or Tudor Barn, this location has it all if you're seeking a secluded, romantic country venue.

The Summer House

Envision a dream-like outdoor ceremony in The Summer House. Perched by the pond it offers stretching views across the gardens and can be decorated to your choosing for those intimate vows.

The Tudor Barn

The rustic Tudor Barn provides a perfect backdrop for your wedding ceremony, with historic beams and high ceilings. Imagine your own unique twist on this stunning space, whether that be decadent floral arrangements or twinkling lanterns and lights, the Tudor Barn proves a romantic place.

Wedding Breakfast capacity - 146 guests

Reception capacity – 250 guests

The Old Dairy

Decorate this versatile and airy indoor venue to create an enchanting atmosphere on your special day. The Old Dairy resides next to the Granary, from which the bride will make her grand entrance.

Ceremony capacity – 100 guests

The Horse Barn

The Horse Barn offers a collaboration of old and new, with original wooden beams and striking modern lighting, which can off-set your colour scheme. The original horse mangers have been carefully restored as well for that extra wow factor.

The Drawing Room

Situated in central Grade II listed house, The Drawing Room offers an ideal space to hold an intimate ceremony with stunning original features. Decorated in a classic country house style, the room also boasts an impressive fireplace, adding depth to this elegant setting.

Catering

Growing their own organic produce, South Farm's team of talented chefs create menus using home-grown produce and the finest fresh local ingredients. Their exceptional food is widely acclaimed and all catering is prepared in the five-star kitchen on your special day. From exemplary fine dining to a finger buffet, your wish will be granted.

Complimentary menu tastings are available exclusively to couples booking their wedding at South Farm.

Accommodation

South Farm houses a diverse range of on-site accommodation for both the bridal party and any other guests wishing to stay the night.

The newlyweds can relax and unwind in the privacy of a luxurious Bridal Suite, with four further bedrooms available onsite and 3 guest bedrooms reserved just down the road at Fen Bridge Farm. Those that desire can also opt to retire in one of several Romany Gypsy Wagons, with camping available too.

    Our day was fantastic, we could not have wished for it to have been more perfect – mainly because of the hard work and effort that the South Farm Team put into it for us – especially Helga on the day, we couldn't have done it without her!

    All of our guests have commented on how amazing the venue was and how much they enjoyed themselves, the food and the music. We could not have asked any more from South Farm, every element of our day was thought of and planned to perfection. I didn't have any doubts in the smooth running of the day but to actually experience a stress free wedding day because of the hard work put in by the South Farm Team is overwhelming and very much appreciated by myself and Sam. Thanks to you we are able to look back at our special day with nothing but positive memories and happy thoughts.

    We shall definitely send over some photos when we receive them from our photographer. We very much look forward to sharing these with you as the beautiful venue made most of the photos as magical as they could be.

    My new wife & I cannot thank South Farm and all of its staff enough for everything they have done for our wedding. The support and attention from all the team is second to none and we couldn't have asked for a more friendly and patient service.
    The Farmhouse, Barn and the surrounding ground is stunning beautiful and required very little decoration, which was ideal for us as we wanted a rustic style wedding, to which South Farm fitted the bill perfectly. The food produced by the kitchen team was beautiful and went down like a storm with all of our guests, who continue to compliment and comment about it as well as the venue, to us nearly a week after we tied the knot. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is after a stunningly beautiful wedding, whilst being quirky and unique at the same time.
