About

Like many of her calling, Sharon's baking 'journey' began with watching and helping her mother whip up traditional delights in the kitchen during her childhood. Regularly baking celebration cakes throughout her adult life, it was the arrival of her firstborn which sparked the transition from hobby into full-time business.

So it was that Sharon Lord started baking her wonderful cakes and wedding favours for lucky brides and grooms back in 2005.

Sharon has a City and Guilds qualification in Sugarcraft, along with a 5* Food Hygiene Rating awarded by Sevenoaks District Council. She is also a member of the British Sugarcraft Guild.

The Cakes

Sharon Lord's cakes are subtle, not overly flamboyant yet very intricate. She bakes a wide variety of cake types and flavours.

• Sponge - Lots of flavours including Baileys, coffee, coconut, traditional and chocolate
• Fruit Cake - Made using vine fruits steeped in brandy and to be ordered 3 months in advance
• Chocolate Fudge Cake - Indulgent, totally irresistible fudge cake with chocolate ganache
• Carrot Cake - With a delicious, rich cocktail of rum, spices, walnuts and fruits

Sugarcraft

Her extensive study of sugarcraft means that your cakes can feature delights like sugar flowers and cascading sugar roses.

Sharon's cupcakes come in a variety of flavours and designs. Cupcake towers, cupcakes shaped like '99' cones, sponge or fruit baubles - whatever fits with the theme you have in mind.
