History
Selly Manor has connections to the Cadbury family and has a rich and intricate history. George and Richard Cadbury built Selly Manor, which includes two distinct buildings. Dating back to medieval times it has previously been home to an Italian wine merchant and a world-famous chocolate maker. The property was originally called 'Smyths Tenement' and was a prosperous house until 1695 when it slowly began to decline before falling into disuse. George Cadbury bought the building and arranged its move from nearby Selly Oak to Bournville. Now thriving and at the heart of Bournville, all of this could be yours on your special day.
