Rookery Meadow is owned and operated by the lovely Rob and Gemma Walpole. After getting engaged at Rookery Meadow, all they had to do was look around to know that it was the perfect place to say their vows. No church, manor house, hotel, or pub could offer the same idyllic setting, breath taking views, and complete freedom with planning.

Recognizing just how lucky they are to have such a beautiful piece of land right in their back garden, Rob and Gemma have jumped at the opportunity to open up their doors to any couple looking turn their back on pre-packaged wedding deals and have a truly unique wedding.

Facilities

Being a blank canvas venue means the facilities available to you are limited only by your imagination. Why not have a live band, a bouncy castle, a festival theme? There are plenty of options and Gemma and Rob can help you find suppliers and come up with ideas to make the special day as inventive as you like.

Barn of Curiosities

If you're a little stuck on ideas for decorations and themes, take a look inside the Walpole's Barn of Curiosities, filled to the rafters with all sorts of quirky vintage knick knacks and bric a brac. Even if you don't use much of it, it'll certainly get the creative juices flowing.

Planning

This may be beginning to sound like a lot of planning on your part, but don't worry. Having gone through this multiple times, with other people as well as planning their own wedding, Gemma and Rob know exactly how to plan the perfect day from scratch. They'll be there to help with selecting and contacting suppliers and for tips and advice.

As they host a maximum of six weddings a year, you can be sure you'll get the attention and assistance you need for the perfect wedding. Just make sure you book in time.

Accommodation

With this much tranquil space, it's only natural for you to want to pitch up a tent and spend the night under the stars. Well luckily you can. Whether you want to go basic with a cozy two man tent, treat yourself with a glamping style tipi, or go all out with a classic VW camper van, Gemma and Rob have the space to accommodate you and your guests.
