At Retreat East your wedding day is so much more than just a day. Why not extend the celebrations and include activities and events the day prior and even after the wedding.

A pre-wedding dinner party is the perfect opportunity to create some special memories and let the anticipation build. After all, you're getting married in the morning! The day after the wedding, blow the cobwebs away by competing in axe-throwing, archery, yoga, clay pigeon shooting or even a leisurely cycle ride through the estate. There is so much fun to be had for all ages. If you're less of the outdoorsy type, and would rather a pre or post wedding pamper, you should book into the Spa and enjoy some R&R.

Your Wedding Day

There are two options when it comes to exchanging vows at Retreat East.

Farmhouse Garden Ceremony

The Farmhouse Garden Temple is licensed for legal ceremonies for up to 100 guests. Located within the English gardens, you'll be surrounded by lavender, fruit trees and unrivalled surroundings as you walk the aisle to the biggest 'I do' of your life.

Great Barn Ceremony

The Great Barn exudes grandeur, with its triple height ceiling and stunning brick fireplace. The oak beams and wooden clad walls create a beautiful atmosphere to say your vows.

Great Barn wedding breakfast and reception

Your wedding feast will be held within the barn, a glorious space to share great food with fabulous company. When the lights dim across the estate, and the sun dips below the horizon, your can celebrate your wedding in style. The bar area is within close proximity and outside you'll find firepits and a bonfire. The East Anglia starlit sky lights the way for your and your guests, as you chat and mingle around the crackling firepits.

Catering

All of the catering is provided inhouse by the talented Chefs. The ingredients are seasonal and fresh, sourced from the kitchen garden or from the best of East Anglian artisan food producers. There are three catering menus to choose; Daffodil, Lavender and Rose. Each menu includes a glass of fizz on arrival, half a bottle of house wine and a drink for toasting the happy couple.
