Based in the South cost of Cornwall, Polhawn Fort has its own private grounds and was awarded the 'UK's Best Coastal Venue' in the UK Wedding Awards 2016.

The Napoleonic Fort was built on the cliff-top in 1867 and has been used as a wedding venue for over 20 years. With its own cannon and drawbridge, the Fort is accessed by descending beautiful spiral granite staircases. Located adjacent to the Cornish Coastal Footpath, this venue is a perfect base from which to explore the area. Why not take a trip to the beach and make use of the BBQ's provided!

All pet lovers are encouraged to view the Fort as this unique venue is dog and pet friendly!

Facilities

With a civil ceremony and civil partnership licence, the Fort is suitable for hosting a wide range of weddings, at any time of the year. Why not opt for an outside wedding where you can tie the knot in their stunning Summerhouse and take advantage of the amazing seaside views.

Weddings can also be held inside the Grand Hall within the Fort as well as in the Emperor Suite, which is suitable for more intimate weddings. The Grand Hall is also the perfect place to have your evening reception.

If you had your heart set on a marquee for your reception then you are in luck! The lower lawn provides the perfect setting for a stunning marquee over looking the majestic Whitsand Bay.

Exclusive Use

When booking the Fort you will also have the exclusive use of the venue and the grounds as well as use of Polhawn Cove, their own private beach. The price also includes luxurious accommodation for up to 24 guests.

Please note: The Fort is available to view every Monday and Friday. Viewing is by appointment only, contact the office at Polhawn Fort to reserve your spot.

Catering

You have the choice to select your own caterer. However, the experienced team at Polhawn Fort can recommend professional local caterers to suit your needs. They are also happy for you to provide your own catering, with a drinks and entertainment licence and no corkage fees.

Accommodation

The Fort is equipped with eight bedrooms, six of which come with their own en-suite bathroom. A total of 24 people can sleep in the fort. There are also additional mattresses available should you wish to accommodate extra guests.
