Upon arrival at Pentney Abbey you will first drive up to the medieval Gatehouse, a majestic building in which you can hold your wedding ceremony. Located in the lovely Norfolk countryside and surrounded by acres of glorious grounds this venue is wonderful for a resplendent wedding.
With plenty of space for a fantastic reception, you and your guests will be blown away by the glorious location and incredible space that this wedding venue offers. A wedding planner will help you coordinate the day so that all you have to do is relax and enjoy every moment.
As the oldest part of the Abbey, the Gatehouse was built in 1380 and could hardly be a more fitting entrance to the grand venue. The abbey itself was once an Augustinian monastery which has been brought back to life after Henry VIII had it demolished. It is now a beautifully decorated and romantic venue fit for an exceptional wedding. With a barn for your wedding breakfast and reception, accommodation and stunning grounds you are spoilt for space.
You can host your wedding ceremony in a beautiful medieval room accessed by an antique stone staircase - perfect for a regal entrance to your ceremony. Adorned with beams, tapestries and grand stone windows this is a truly magical room.

Ideal for a wedding feast and reception the medieval barn allows you plenty of space for your guests to dance the night away having enjoyed your spectacular wedding celebrations. The original stonework and exposed beams make this a truly impressive space to host your wedding.

The incredible chefs at Unique Norfolk Venues will help you create a sumptuous wedding feast that can include canapés, a three course meal and even afternoon tea.
Head chef Keith McDowell and his team will allow you to choose from a wonderful array of delicious dishes made from fresh produce. A wedding planner will ensure that you have everything you need on the day, with the rooms decorated to suit your taste.
Pentney Abbey offers a beautiful bridal suite to relax in after your wedding celebrations which is tastefully decorated, encompassing a four-poster bed and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Guest accommodation for 14 other guests is also provided at the abbey and there are plenty of places nearby so that the extended guests do not have to travel far after a magnificent day.
£1,000 off all bookings (any date in 2026 and 2027) taken in January, £750 off all bookings (any date in 2026 and 2027) taken in February, £500 off all bookings (any date in 2026 and 2027) taken in March.

Pentney Abbey is such a great venue! Jaymi, Rachael and all the staff made our day as enjoyable and as relaxed as it could be. The stunning gatehouse was a perfect setting for our winter wedding. Nothing was too much hassle. Thank you again for everyone's hard work to make our day perfect.
