As a family-run business, the team takes great pleasure in showcasing the house and gardens, regaling visitors with tales of the colourful characters associated with Pauntley, including Dick Whittington who was born there in 1352. Painted in a reddish earth colour that reflects the iron-rich soil of the region, Pauntley Court exudes a warm and inviting aura. Its graceful architecture encircles a central courtyard, radiating a soft rosy glow as the evening sun sets.

The Main House

The Main House at Pauntley Court beckons with its characterful entrance hall, adorned with timeless charm, and a sweeping main staircase that invites you to explore further. Within, you'll discover three spacious reception rooms, each with its own unique allure. An elegant and light-filled Ballroom sets the stage for civil ceremonies and wedding breakfasts, while the traditional Panelled Room, graced with a grand fireplace, provides an ideal space for drinks receptions. The cosy Pink Room offers a haven of relaxation for guests of all ages, and the well-equipped kitchen ensures that culinary needs are met with ease.

    We booked Pauntley Court for our intimate wedding weekend in June 2022 and we regret nothing! The venue is beyond beautiful with lovely, well-kept gardens. The rooms are also very impressive, all individually decorated with their own character. All our guests commented throughout the wedding and since returning home about how lovely the venue was. Unfortunately, we weren't able to have our wedding outside as planned, thanks to the great British weather, but the team at Pauntley were so responsive, attentive and caring about swapping round our decorations to move us inside. We want to make a special mention to Rachel, who helped us throughout the weekend to keep the house clean and tidy and also cooked us an amazing breakfast on the Sunday morning. Also, a big thank you to Rebecca and Melissa who were also fantastic, ensuring our day was perfect throughout. If you want a unique wedding venue, that no one will forget, book Pauntley court! .

    Our wedding weekend at Pauntley Court was simply magical. The house was a perfect base for our close family and friends for the weekend, everyone was in awe of the beautiful interiors and attention to detail throughout. We enjoyed a relaxed supper in the spacious kitchen the evening before the wedding itself, followed by some drinks in front of the fire in the lounge afterward. On the wedding morning, the bridal party had breakfast and got ready in the well-lit ballroom, it was a serene atmosphere, which was only complemented with the views out of the garden through the window.

    We used the gardens for our wedding reception, the guests loved adventuring into to the different areas and seeing the spring flowers which had just started to bloom. The little bridesmaids were in their absolute element, playing hide and seek amongst the box hedges.

    Melissa and team went out of their way to make our wedding weekend absolutely perfect in every way, we couldn't thank them more and we are just sad now that it's all over! We can't wait to find another excuse to book Pauntley Court and come back!

    From the moment we arrived at Pauntley we totally fell in love with it. It is so unique and like nothing else we had looked at. Melissa is so lovely and was really helpful throughout our planning - it always felt so personal. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly. It was also great to have Holly's help, particularly on the day for any last-minute jobs that needed sorting before or during the afternoon.

    We arrived on the Thursday night with our parents and had the main house from Friday lunchtime for the weekend. This worked really well for us as it meant we had lots of time to decorate the marquee and sort the final details before the big day so the build up was stress free and meant we could enjoy it! We honestly had the most amazing weekend and everyone said how magical Pauntley was. The house and its surroundings are simply beautiful and it is the perfect setting for a wedding.

    A huge thank you to Melissa and her family for welcoming us into their home and sharing their little slice of heaven - it will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we can't wait to visit again.
