About
Sara Gibson, Chef Director, founded Passion Fruit Catering in 2015 out of a love of fine food, entertaining, and creating memorable food experiences. The company started out in her kitchen, but soon moved to commercial space on a rural farm in Tring, Hertfordshire. Sara began her culinary education in London at Westminster Kingsway College. Sara has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants, hotels, and event venues over the course of her career. She now has over 21 years of experience in hospitality and catering. While Sara was working as the Head Chef of the National Maritime Museum and the Queen's House, one of her most notable accomplishments was cooking for 500 guests at the celebrations of the late Majesty the Queen's Jubilee and providing complete catering for the England equestrian team at the 2012 Olympics.
Frances, Sara's partner, left her position as a detective with the Metropolitan Police Service in 2018 to join the business. She now oversees the front of house and event management sections of the business. She brings with her all the organization skills, meticulous attention to detail, and is known for her military precision when planning and timing events to ensure that they run smoothly.
The business currently in its eighth year, has turned into the go-to catering organisation for occasions and weddings, making extraordinary and tailor-made menus, executed with imaginative style and scrupulousness. They provide catering in a variety of settings, including private homes and wedding venue.
