Services
The Old Chapel Centre's Minister is happy to help you put your service together offering guidance and advice on music and readings. Alternatively, if you would like to choose your own minister or celebrant, you can with approval from the Chapel's Minister
You also have the option of two organs, which can be used during your ceremony. The Wedding Planner can recommend experienced organists for you to contact.
Marriage Vows
You have the choice of three ceremony options:
Ceremony A
- Declaratory words - I do solemnly declare...
- Contracting words - I call upon these persons here present...
Ceremony B
- Declaratory words - I declare that I know no legal reason why I...
- Contracting words - I...take thee...to be my wedded...
Ceremony C
- Declaratory words - The Minister will ask 'Are you...free lawfully to marry...
- Contracting words - I...take you...to be my wedded...
Exchanging rings
The Old Chapel Centre suggest "I give you this ring as a symbol of our marriage and as a token of our love", although you may wish to use your own words, if so, the Minister must approve these in advance.
Loud music is not permitted and receptions must finish by 11pm.
Catering
The Old Chapel Centre does not provide catering, although their Wedding Planner can recommend local suppliers that offer a wealth of catering choices. Or for a fee, the Events Manager will organise this on your behalf having got to know what you are after and what your tastes are.
