History

Number 3 Elliot Terrace was built in the late 19th Century by a leading Victorian property developer. The property was then purchased by the Mayor of Plymouth, Waldorf Astor, between 1939 and 1944. His wife, Nancy, made history by becoming the first female MP to sit in the Commons. Number 3 Elliot Terrace was gifted by Nancy as a residence for the future Lord Mayors. The house is brimming with antiques, artefacts and old photographs, perfect for any history lovers who are looking to say their vows surrounded by powerful reminders of the past.

Packages

Please speak directly with the team to discuss the hire rates. However, below is an indication of the costs involved. You are able to hire the house for the whole day, or for as long as your choose. The hire includes the ceremony room, drawing room and dining room.

Costs are based on a maximum of 35 guests:

Two hour hire from £550

Four hour hire, to include cream tea if requested, from £1,100

Eight hour hire, to include cream tea if requested, from £1,800

Please note these prices may fluctuate around peak months and weekends.
