Eight acres of beautiful, private grounds circle the Norfolk Mead Hotel, stretching right up to the banks of the river Bure.

Situated just five miles from the historic city of Norwich, the Norfolk Mead Hotel is easily accessible for all your guests. Once they've arrived, there is really no reason for them to leave, as, with a licence for ceremony and top-quality accommodation, everything needed for your special day is available on-site.

Anna and James Duttson, owners of the hotel, met in the hospitality industry ten years ago. Since then they've cultivated a high level of professionalism and care, which makes them experts at hosting weddings. They are excited to welcome you to the Norfolk Mead Hotel!

Facilities

As well as three beautiful spaces for a ceremony and wedding breakfast, the Norfolk Mead Hotel also has a gorgeous terrace and walled garden ideal for a drinks reception.

The Garden Room

This modern room is located in the corner of the secret, walled garden. It has its own private bar and kitchen, and has beautiful glass walls that offer your guests stunning views.

Evening reception capacity - 250 guests

Dining Room

This room will add a warm atmosphere to your ceremony, and creates a perfect space for saying those all-important vows.

This space is ideal for more intimate ceremonies, with the beautiful décor creating a cosy feel.

Catering

Anna Duttson herself is the Executive Chef who can help you create the perfect 3-course wedding breakfast, scrumptious canapés and evening buffet. They are flexible and can adapt to your tastes, designing a bespoke menu with you in mind.

They source high-quality ingredients from local farmers and producers, and their restaurant has two AA rosettes to its name. You can rest assured of catering of premier quality with the Norfolk Mead Hotel.

Accommodation

There are 11 beautiful, contemporary rooms in the main hotel and additional lodging at the Sweet Chestnut Cottage and Crab Apple Summer House. These can accommodate for 30 of your guests, and include a luxury bridal suite for the newlyweds.

    We were lucky enough to get married here on the 21st October and could not be happier. The staff were amazing, and special thanks to Francesca and Victoria who were not only on hand all day but were brilliant in the run up to the wedding. Thanks also to Liam who was friendly and helpful to all our guests at reception on both the day before and after the wedding. The location is idyllic and the food out of this world. We cant wait to celebrate our first anniversary here next year!

    My husband and I got married here on Friday and we can't thank the Norfolk Mead enough for giving us such a beautiful day. The staff here are incredible - this goes for the reception staff, housekeeping, the waiters/waitresses, bar staff and the wedding planners. They literally can't do enough for you! You will also never have a bad meal here as the food is amazing and all our friends and family were extremely impressed. In terms of our day we couldn't thank Victoria and Francesca enough (the wedding organisers) for making it run so smoothly. James and Anna, who own the Norfolk Mead, should be very proud of their staff and we can't thank you enough for making our wedding day Perfect.
