This history of New Place is fitting of the grand hotel and wedding venue it became. The manor house was commissioned as a wedding gift, designed and built in 1904 by renowned architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. The building's exterior is a fine example of intricate Victorian brickwork and its interior integrates elements from Elizabethan and Tudor design giving New Place a unique and characterful air.
The hotel can hold civil ceremonies and receptions in its five dedicated rooms, ensuring that no matter the size of your wedding party, there is a space that is suited to you.
Found in the grounds of the hotel, this standalone building was refurbished in early 2017 with light, bright and understand modern decoration. With its own private bar, toilets and terrace, the Arden Suite is exclusive to your wedding party.
Evening reception capacity – 150 guests
Found on the ground floor of the manor house this ceremony room is perhaps the most beautiful in New Place. Its large ornate fireplace and wood cladding set it in juxtaposition to the contemporary styling of the Arden Suite, but make for a gorgeous backdrop for a wedding ceremony.

Also located on the ground floor of the manor house, this ceremony room opts for modern decoration. Your eyes will be drawn to the views out across the terrace and gardens: a simple and elegant setting for your wedding ceremony.
Ceremony capacity – 90 guests
The Court is a standalone ceremony room located within the grounds of the Hotel gardens. This room, modern in decoration, carries an air of grandeur with its floor to ceiling windows and chandeliers.

The Franklyn Room combines stylish contemporary décor with beautiful period features, such as the large Victorian fireplace. You are sure to be captivated by this room where modern and classic styling meet.

New Place Hotel's experienced and dedicated in-house catering team are on hand to deliver a delicious menu for you and your guests. Their set menus offer a number of different options for canapés, starters, mains and deserts, all constructed using only the finest locally sourced ingredients.
Canapés and Wedding Breakfasts all come included in New Place's wedding package, but for those wanting to add a certain je ne sais quoi to their dining experience can opt to upgrade any element of their wedding food from a cost ranging between two and four pounds per person.
The team can also accommodate for children with a dedicated menu, and those wanting to host an outdoor reception with a barbeque (weather depending).
New Place Hotel boasts 110 en-suite bedrooms, leaving your guests free to fully enjoy the evening without the worry of getting home. AddressGot married here last year in The Bristol Room - such a gorgeous setting for a beautiful day! Came back yesterday for our first complimentary 3 course meal and stay for the night, followed by breakfast - the food is spot on and the service is very good!
My husband and I got married here on 22nd December and the day was absolute perfection at New Place. The staff from the moment we booked to the day after the wedding were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and all our queries were answered almost immediately. The food was lovely and service outstanding. If you are thinking of New Place as your venue, then do not look anywhere else! Will always recommend it to anyone we speak to!
We got married at New Place on Sunday the 31st December. Some family and friends stayed there the evening before and the whole occasion was perfect from start to finish. The staff were outstanding, the food amazing and every detail to make it special and magical was in place with nothing being too much trouble . Thank you to everyone, we have so many wonderful memories and look forward to returning in the future.
