The Barn

Welcome to the enchanting world of Nether Winchendon House Weddings, where the magnificent Carriage Barn takes centre stage. Built in the 18th Century to house the carriages of the esteemed owners, this high vaulted beauty is now the perfect setting for couples to celebrate their love. Imagine hosting your Wedding Breakfast in this stunning venue, surrounded by the breathtaking gardens and grounds of Nether Winchendon House.

The Carriage Barn offers a truly unique and private experience. With its own Bridal Garden and orchard, it exudes simplicity and beauty, providing the perfect backdrop for your wedding celebrations. You and your Bridal Party will feel like it's your own little piece of paradise for the day.

The Carriage Barn can comfortably accommodate up to 85 dining guests, ensuring an intimate and cosy atmosphere. And in the evening, you can extend your guest list to a maximum of 120, creating a lively and joyous celebration.

When you choose the Carriage Barn as your venue, you'll enjoy a comprehensive package that includes not only the Barn itself for your Wedding Breakfast, but also the Carriage Stand for your Arrival Drinks Reception, the Bar area, Dance Floor, and the charming Stable Yard. Plus, you'll have access to the Carriage Barn two days before your big day, allowing for a relaxed and stress-free preparation.

Marquee

At Nether Winchendon House, they offer three stunning lawn locations where you can rent a marquee of your choice for your Wedding Day Celebrations. Immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of The East Lawn, surrounded by charming rustic walls and adorned with beautiful English flowers. For a more intimate setting, The Walled Garden is perfect, especially during the winter months. If you prefer breathtaking views of the countryside, The South Lawn is the ideal location. With the River Thame running alongside, your marquee will offer stunning vistas of the Estate's landscape.

The cost of Venue Hire for a Marquee Wedding will vary depending on the number of guests and the lawn location(s) you choose. This package includes three hours of use for your Arrival Drinks Reception on The Terrace, located on the South Front of Nether Winchendon House. Please note that Marquee Hire is not included.

Venue Hire Charges for marquee lawn location hire for Saturday dates start at £5,500, for up to 250 guests.

Accommodation

Accommodation is available for the Wedding couple, the Bridal Party, and their guests. For the Bride and Groom, there is a charming Bridal Cottage available. If you have a group of Bridesmaids and want to enjoy the pre-wedding festivities together, The West House in the Medieval wing of Nether Winchendon House is the ideal choice. With a spacious sitting room where you can toast with champagne in style, and five double bedrooms, it becomes your own private haven to fully immerse yourselves in the excitement.

The West House is also a wonderful place to wake up on the morning of your big day, as you and your Bridesmaids get ready for the festivities. Additionally, it serves as a retreat for family and friends to stay overnight after the celebrations have concluded. Previous brides love the Crenellated makeup room, where they can have their hair and makeup done alongside their Bridesmaids.
