About

Telford Madeley Court Hotel based in Shropshire is a 16th century Grade II listed country house that was originally built as a grange to the Medieval Wenlock Priory. After the building had suffered from decay and damage throughout the years, it embarked on a great restoration project in 1973.

The restoration included major sound and weather-proofing to avoid further decay and later partly dismantling and rebuilding the gatehouse. Soon after the restoration, the property was converted into a hotel under the guidance of talented architect Jim Roberts.

This stunning barn with red brick walls, exposed wooden beams and high ceilings is the perfect venue to host your dream wedding.

Evening reception capacity - 250 guests

Priory Restaurant

This room contains many fascinating features from the original building, including the bespoke fireplace and antique-style chandelier.

Abraham Derby

Ideal for more intimate ceremonies, this neutrally decorated licensed area can accommodate any wedding theme.

Evening reception capacity - 100 guests

Catering

The highly experienced on-site caterers offer a range of options for your wedding breakfast, from a classic three-course meal to delightful afternoon tea. Each menu provides a range of delectable dishes to suit every palate, as well as vegetarian options available.

The team at Telford Madeley Court Hotel can cater to any dietary requirements on request and drinks packages are also available for your reception.

    We got married here and it was the most amazing day of my life. From the moment I saw the hotel I knew it was perfect and the staff were second to none from the moment I booked the wedding. Nothing was too much trouble and they always had time to make changes and we were able to make the day personal to us. It was so different from any other hotel we looked at and having it to yourself without the over inflated prices of exclusive use was a definite bonus.     Madeley Court is unique and full of character and the exclusivity of The Mill was a massive appeal along with the 24/7 bar for residents. Whilst planning we were particularly impressed by the food choices for the main meal, thoroughly enjoying our meal taste testing and free wine! The day itself was seamless – The Mill is a beautiful setting for a ceremony, it was big enough to house our guests while still feeling intimate – a lot of guests commented on how gorgeous the beams and other features are! I personally loved every minute of our wedding day and cannot wait to return to Madeley Court for our anniversary for many years to come, it really is a hidden gem.
