The group consists of five highly-skilled members who harmonise their instruments and voices perfectly to reproduce the ideal wedding-day presentation. Gifted musicians, between them they demonstrate an impressive aptitude in performing, composing and arranging.
Maximum Ceili's five talented members have a variety of musical experience underneath their belts. Orlaith McAuliffe was the All Ireland Flute Champion 20 times, and several of her compositions feature in Maximum Ceili's sets. The band's fiddle-player is Sam Proctor, and Tad Sargent plays bodhran and bouzouki.
Philippe Barnes can play an impressive array of instruments, but is primarily guitarists in Maximum Ceili. The final band member is Rosie Hodgson, a talented singer and songwriter, who was a finalist for the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards in 2013.
Their traditional Irish sound is perfect for rural barn celebrations. Why not throw a full on ceilidh celebration at your evening reception?
Repertoire
Maximum Ceili play a variety of different traditional Irish tunes. Using a variety of acoustic instruments they create an unrivalled sound of pretty melodies at an upbeat tempo. They are ideal for slow filler music and a lively reception.
To achieve maximum impact, they can bring along a high-quality PA system to amplify the sound in any venue.
The band brings along an experienced dance caller, so your guests will certainly get their feet on the dance floor.
