Littlewood Lodge

Littlewood Lodge is as enchanting and dreamy as its name suggests. Hidden within a remote woodland setting outside of Dorchester, this venue has got us going weak at the knees. Originally a shooting hut, Littlewood Lodge has undergone a dramatic transformation to a luxurious space within a private woodland setting. The huge sliding glass doors put you at one with nature as you enjoy your reception amongst the trees. There are certainly no shortages of luxury details such as the copper-topped bar and spectacular outdoor party space.

Due to its private and secluded location you can really celebrate in style; the only neighbours to disturb are the local wildlife, and we're sure they'll forgive you! This wedding venue gives couples the rare opportunity to let loose and have fun. History

Littlewood Lodge has been through quite the 'glow up'. Originally a hunting and shooting lodge in the 1920's, it was used as a meeting point. From humble beginnings to a television debut in 2001, featuring on the Christmas edition of the TV show River Cottage featuring Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall.

In 2020 the team's vision started to come to life, with the demolition of the original shooting hut and the redesign of the enchanting Littewood Lodge we see today. An oasis of woodland luxury built from the best materials from local master craftsmen. In summer 2021 the Lodge was completed, ready to host your whimsical wedding.

Facilities

The enchanting setting has a seated dining capacity for up to 24 guests, as well as a cosy sofa area for more casual seating. The huge sliding glass doors seamlessly blend nature with your wedding day. There is also a veranda which can be utilised as the sun goes down, sipping on your favourite drink whilst the firepit crackles beneath you.

The facilities that are including onsite are as follows:

  • Kitchen with oven, hob, electrical points, preparation surfaces
  • Shower
  • Toilet
  • Firepit and seating
  • Indoor log burner & wood included
  • Mezzanine floor with double bed
  • Bar area included (no corkage charge)
  • Tables and chairs (if required)
  • Ambient lighting
  • Parking space for caterers/suppliers next to the lodge
  • Capacity: 20-30

Catering

Littlewood Lodge has a fantastic relationship with their recommended caterers, Flames and Feast. This rustic fine dining caterer uses the best possible seasonal produce and locally sourced ingredients. Your guests will be treated to an array of taste bud tingling culinary delights.

If you have a different caterer in mind then please get in touch with the team as you may be able to bring your own caterer in, if required.
