The Kings Head Hotel boasts a rich history dating back 500 years. In 2010, the Georgian banquet hall underwent a meticulous restoration in collaboration with English Heritage, ensuring the period features were accurately recreated based on historical research. The addition of a terrace has transformed the venue into an ideal setting for weddings and celebrations, a tradition upheld for centuries.

Facilities

The Kings Head Hotel can host a civil ceremony for up to 150 guests in the Assembly Room. If you’d rather have a church service, they have strong, professional connections with nearby churches that can host you and your guests. Particularly noteworthy is the stunning St. John The Baptist church situated across from the hotel.

Your wedding breakfast and evening reception will take place in the Assembly Room or Vaulted Cellar. There is also a roof terrace, a library and a variety of unique and historic rooms throughout.

This includes all service linen, cutlery, crockery and glassware, a front-of-house manager to ensure your event runs smoothly, a team of experienced staff and full access to your own private bar.

Accommodation

Spend the night before and the night of your Wedding in beautiful, comfortable rooms. They offer a preferential rate for your guests at the time of booking. They promise to hold 15 bedrooms the night before and the night of your wedding for guests to be able to book.
