Joyful Tiers founder and award-winning cake maker Lindsay developed a love of scrumptious cakes and sweet treats from a young age, when she and her sister used to visit their Scottish gran. Her gran would bring out a hostess trolley teaming with mouth-watering confections and they would spend a few hours munching and laughing about the things they had been up to since their last visit.

Lindsay's gran taught her all she knew about baking, including the importance of presenting beautiful food so to represent the deliciousness inside. Even today Lindsay is still using her gran's tried and test recipes for some of her best-sellers.

The Cakes

Every cake is freshly baked in the Joyful Tiers kitchen, and they use only the best ingredients and source their eggs from a local, free-range farmer.

The Service

Consultations are by appointment only, and Lindsay will sit down with you to go through all aspects of your wedding cake. Bring along any design elements you might already have in mind, such as a colour scheme or particular flavour, or even small details such as the lace on your dress or the flowers in your bouquet.

Joyful Tiers specialise in creating bespoke vintage designs that will perfectly compliment your traditional wedding. However, they can also provide a cake for more contemporary weddings, incorporating bold designs and contrasting colours to make your wedding cake a unique statement.

All of Lindsay's cakes are made to order, and she can also provide you with portion information so you can make sure that every guest gets a taste.
