History
Formerly the residence of the Dukes of Bedford, the property was previously known as Endsleigh Cottage. The mansion was commissioned by the 6th Duke of Bedford, John Russell, and constructed in 1810 by renowned architect Sir Jeffry Wyattville, known for his work on Windsor Castle and Chatsworth House.
Lady Georgiana, John's wife, was reputed to be a driving force behind the creation of both the house and its stunning gardens.
In 2005, the celebrated interior designer and renowned hotelier Olga Polizzi purchased the property and began to bring it back to its former glory - with a little touch of modern luxury to boot!
