This award-winning Suffolk based wedding photographer specialises in capturing natural, organic photographs and always ensures you feel totally comfortable in front of the camera. Using a friendly approach, Hillier James avoids taking awkward posed shots and focuses on candid imagery of your day.

Always working with a second photographer, there are two sets of creative eyes working together to capture the whole story of your wedding day, from start to finish. With a wide range of experience shooting at a variety of weddings, couples can expect high-quality photographs that capture the true emotion of their special day.

About

Having photographed numerous weddings to date, Adam Hillier embarked on his professional photography journey after travelling with two good friends and a 3.2 megapixel point and shoot camera 13 years ago.

Unable to travel quite as much nowadays, he lives with his wife and daughter in Suffolk and has specialised in photographing weddings for the past six years. Adam's passion for capturing people and real emotion in the photographs he takes is what drove him to become a professional wedding photographer.

Not overly enthused about being in front of the camera himself, Adam takes a laid-back, friendly approach to photographing your special day, ensuring he doesn't miss a thing without getting in the way or taking over.

The Photos

The photographs themselves are taken using the highest quality, professional camera equipment and are naturally edited individually for the most premium results.

You can expect a balance of organic, natural images interspersed with some creative shots. Having two photographers' means the groomsmen and bridal party preparations are captured along with a range of photographs of the bride and groom and wedding guests.

By blending in with the celebrations, Adam is able to capture the candid moments using his reportage style. All of your photographs are edited in a subtle style, avoiding tweaking to the original images such as colour pops. The pictures are a collection of colour and black and white images for a fresh and traditional finish.

Packages/Albums

Full day packages start at £1600 and are tailored to suite your preferences. All packages include:

  • Two photographers
  • Images delivered on USB
  • Access to private online gallery
  • Full coverage from morning preparations to first dance

Adam offers the option to display the wonderful collation of photographs from your wedding day in a beautiful handmade, leather album.

He encourages your creative input in the design so you receive the album you want with subtly edited images to tell the story of your special day.
