About
Hawkesyard Estate dates back to the 13th century when the local gentry used the estate as hunting land and was commissioned shortly after by Simon De Rugeley for the construction as Hawkesyard Hall.
The estate was later purchased by Mary Spode in 1839, who extended and refurbished the Hall and the Order later built a new priory within the grounds which was occupied by nuns until the early 20th century.
The estate now stands as a renowned wedding venue and has been lovingly restored to its former glory.
