About

Happy Valley is a family-run business headed by Scott and Katy. Scott is a craftsman who makes all the cabins at the venue, and Katy works as the hostess of the venue, as well as being the founder of Tribe Norfolk, a community of creative businesses that holds a festival at Happy Valley every year.

They opened Happy Valley, a whimsical woodland wonderland with lakes and plenty of wildlife, to guests in 2014. The site includes a range of picturesque open-air and covered spaces, as well as different types of accommodation, making it a perfect blank canvas for a country wedding.

Facilities

Choose between a range of beautiful and very different outdoor settings and covered spaces and design your own individual wedding across the nine acres of land at Happy Valley. Select a secluded woodland spot for an intimate ceremony, or have a lakeside backdrop of weeping willows for all of your family and friends to watch you say your vows.

The Island

Across a small bridge and under weeping willows, the island is a wonderful spot to have your marriage blessed. With just a few family members and friends in attendance, this is a perfect spot to have a wedding completely surrounded by nature.

The Barns

The Hay Barn is a renovated traditional barn, while the Dutch Party Barn offers a more modern boho space, with panoramic views across the lake and meadowland! These two spaces seat up to 120 and 150 guests respectively for a delightful lunch prepared by your caterers.

Catering

There is no communal kitchen or in-house catering service provided. Instead, Happy Valley encourages you to find your own outside caterers to serve you delicious food during the day. Couples in the past have had barbecues and hog roasts, and hired mobile food vans to create a true festival atmosphere.

You have the same flexibility with all other suppliers, such as florists, music, bakers and decorators, although the venue is so beautiful that you scarcely need décor! If you are struggling to choose, Happy Valley does have a list of recommended suppliers that you can choose from if you want to.

Accommodation

Happy Valley offers glamping to all guests staying after a wedding. They recommend that all wedding parties book three days and two nights to get the most out of the peaceful venue. What's more, there are several cabins to hire including Toad Hall, a wheelchair accessible treehouse! Tucked away in the woodland is a wood fired hot tub, perfect for practising the Japanese art of forest bathing, which services all of the huts and bell tents. Because of the range and quality of accommodation available, you'll want to have your honeymoon here too...
