History
Elmore Court has a history reaching back hundreds of years. The principal section of the current building was created in 1564, and this itself was constructed over the site of a medieval house, telltale parts of which are still visible in the cellar.
The Guise family have presided over the Elmore estate since 1262, and over the 750 intervening years have painstakingly maintained their property until the present day. Anselm Guise, with the assistance of his children, administers the estate today, and their recent endeavours have revolved around transforming the mansion and its pretty grounds into one of the UK's most interesting and beautiful places to get married.
Owner Anselm Guise has quite a history himself, having organised festivals across the UK such as the Electronic Dance Music Festival, Glade Festival, and the startup of the record company, Nano Records. Elmore Court also featured on Channel 4's Country House Rescue in 2008.
