The Barn

The traditional Kentish Barn is the heart of your wedding celebrations. Its wooden vaulted ceiling are draped with twinkling lights and the huge window provides breath-taking views across miles of unspoilt landscape. Hold your wedding feast and party the night away with the moonlight shining off the lakes beyond. The huge rustic wedding barn doors open out onto a grass courtyard, encircled by wildflowers, and festoon lighting, for wedding reception drinks, games and dancing under the stars.

The maximum seated capacity is 150 on round tables or 120 guests on rustic banquet stye tables.
Maximum standing capacity is 200 guests, including any suppliers.

Weddings at Elmley are truly personal and bespoke. All elements can be expertly tailored to your needs and, with accommodation included, you can create a destination wedding that is completely yours. All quoted prices include VAT and there are no hidden charges or corkage fees.

What does that include?

Exclusive use of Kingshill Farm at the heart of the private 3,300-acre National Nature Reserve
Two nights at Elmley - this runs from 3pm the day before your wedding, until 11am the day after your wedding (accommodation check out at 10:30am)
Capacity for up to 150 guests for a ceremony or blessing, drinks reception and seated wedding breakfast.
Capacity for up to 200 guests for an evening reception
Indoor and outdoor licensing for a civil marriage ceremony
Use of the beautiful Elmley National Nature Reserve for your wedding photographs with incredible meadow, beach & wilderness views
The magnificent Kingshill Barn until midnight on your wedding day
No curfew - after midnight have an afterparty around our fire pit with marshmallow station and dedicated seating area for residential guests to keep that festival vibe going
No corkage fee for daytime drinks
The dedicated wedding team will provide guidance during your planning process; liaising directly with suppliers, pre-arranged access for meetings, planning, and supplier viewings in the run-up to your wedding day, on-the-day coordination and clear-up after the wedding
The Elmley team will be on hand throughout your stay
Licenced evening bar for the wedding day; fully staffed and stocked with local products, can be run on cash or account, 7pm-11:30pm
The Elmley team will organise your Welcome Party for you and your guests staying the night before the wedding
The Elmley Wedding Planner – an in-detail guide to planning a wedding at Elmley with their carefully curated lists of incredible suppliers
The Elmley team have your reception furniture covered with a choice of round tables or vintage trestle tables, wooden folding & cross back chairs, sofas & vintage pieces, lighting, including lots of fairy and festoons
They provide almost everything else to ensure your guests are comfortable and the event is seamless, so you do not need to bring anything in or worry about the boring bits!
Including: kitchen for caterers, drinks chilling, music system with built in speakers & a portable PA system with cordless mics, stocked bar, plenty of parking and loos!
Kingshill Farm and its surrounding accommodation is exclusively yours for the duration of your hire. The unique and award-winning range of accommodation sleeps up to 42 guests for 2 nights. A delicious freshly made buffet breakfast is included for the morning after your wedding day, served in Kingshill Barn for you and all residential guests.
This includes 18th Century Kingshill Farmhouse, Elmley Cottage and 10 iconic glamping shepherds’ huts.

Catering

Have the freedom to choose your perfect menu and service style for your wedding day. Pick from a range of preferred catering companies who the team know and trust to offer you a seamless, friendly service. With no corkage fee on your daytime drinks you have the option to serve your guests your favourite tipple.

Throughout your stay the in-house kitchen team can offer some delicious options to ensure you and your residential guests are well fed during your stay. Have a relaxed evening under the festoon lights with some music whilst enjoying freshly made woodfired pizzas. A buffet breakfast for all guests is included the morning after the wedding so you have more time to spend with your nearest and dearest.

Accommodation

The unique and award-winning accommodation sleeps 42 and includes the spectacular Kingshill Farmhouse, stunning coastal vibes of Elmley Cottage & 10 iconic glamping huts. You can sleep another 70 giving you the option to sleep up to 118 people at Kingshill Farm with the inclusion of the bell tent village.
