Cooling Castle Barn is a family-owned and family-run establishment. However, they don't do it all alone. They have a dedicated team of wonderful individuals who work alongside them to ensure that they are the best that they can be.

They have their own kitchens where everything is prepared from scratch. The in-house laundry ensures that the bed and table linen meet the high-quality standards. They even handle their own waste water, as they prioritise environmental responsibility and strive to recycle as much as possible.

Lastly, fairness and value for money are core principles. They only provide guests with items and services that they would use themselves, and aim to deliver excellent service at a reasonable price.

The Moat

Introducing the newest addition to the barns, The Moat House! This charming space, known as The Dressing Room, is where you can get ready for your special day. Feel free to bring along your hairdresser, masseuse, manicurist, face painter, and photographer, or simply invite your closest friends and family to join you. Relax and bask in the spotlight, while enjoying a delicious breakfast, elevenses, a glass or two of bubbles, and the undivided attention of everyone around you. The Moat House opens at 8.00 am, allowing you ample time to pamper yourself and capture those glamorous shots.

The Heritage Barn

Before the wedding ceremony, the Heritage Barn serves as a gathering place for friends and family to reconnect. It offers support for any last-minute worries or jitters, with an open bar and snacks. Starting at 11.00 am, guests can also visit the barn for refreshments before settling into their rooms, or simply relax in the garden with a refreshing beverage and engage in conversations with loved ones.

The Vows

You can decide where you would like your ceremony, either in the Fathom Barn or in the garden Pavilion. Alternatively, if you were considering a church ceremony the pretty St James’ Church is a short stroll from the Barns.

Evening Celebrations

While you and your loved ones savour your post-dinner coffee in the Heritage Barn, the team discreetly transform the Tithe Barn into a captivating setting for your evening celebration. Once the tables are set and the ambiance is perfected with dimmed lights, it's your time to shine once more as you share your first dance as a married couple. They provide a wide range of options for your evening feast, many of which are included in the package price. Whether you prefer a Hog roast, BBQ, Mexican, Indian, Spanish, or even a Finger buffet, rest assured that your evening guests will be just as well-fed as those who have been by your side all day. The in-house DJ will be equipped with a playlist tailored to your music preferences, ensuring that you can dance to all your favourite tunes until it's time to bid farewell to the night.

Welcome to the Moat House, where luxury awaits you. Begin your journey in the exquisite Sitting Room, a vibrant and modern space that offers all the comforts of home and more. In the Master Bedroom you'll find a sumptuous sleigh bed and a luxurious double-ended freestanding bath, perfect for indulging in a relaxing soak. As the evening draws to a close, your attentive Duty Manager will discreetly deliver some delectable treats and sparkling beverages, allowing you to unwind and savour the moment.

Guest Accommodation

If your guests are travelling from afar you may want to offer them a nice comfy bed for the night and a delicious breakfast to send them on their way in the morning. There are 15 bedrooms available - which include 4 family rooms. 6 Double rooms 4 twin or double rooms and 1 deluxe room. All bedrooms have en-suites, wifi, tea and coffee making facilities, gowns, slippers and lovely l’occitane toiletries.
