History
Combermere Abbey originally opened its doors as a Cistercian monastery in 1133 but was later gifted to Sir George Cotton by Henry VIII in 1536.
Between 1814 and 1820, the grand house was refashioned in the popular Gothic style by the 1st Viscount Combermere.
Over the last 20 years, all the listed buildings on-site have been restored to their former Victorian glory. Now The North Wing in the abbey can be hired exclusively for couples who want to enjoy this luxurious Honeymoon Suite complete with a private entrance, butler service and breath-taking views of the grounds.
