About
Clifton Observatory, established in 1766, holds a significant place in the Bristol landscape as an iconic landmark. Throughout its long and diverse history, one aspect has remained constant: the breathtaking and unforgettable vistas of Bristol, Avon Gorge, and the Clifton Suspension Bridge. In 2015, they embarked on an extraordinary project to restore the observatory, and over the past few years, the team have diligently worked towards transforming it into a truly unique venue. Today, Clifton Observatory proudly houses the 360 café, a museum showcasing a rare Victorian-era Camera Obscura, and the enchanting and mythical Giant's Cave.
