Changing Faces

Changing Faces are a professional mobile makeup and hair stylist team who take the stress out of getting ready for your big day. They have a range of prestigious makeup brands to choose from including Mac, Bobbi-Brown, Chanel, Dior, YSL Charlotte Tilbury and many more.

They have used their professional services for celebrity clients including Tinie Tempah, Paolo Nutini and Dawn French just to name a few! They have also had the chance to work with many well-known clients including London Fashion Week, BBC, Channel 4, Body Shop, Nike, and Fat Face.

About

Changing Faces were established in 1985 and are based in East Devon although they are happy to cover North and South Devon, the South Hams area and further afield. Their experienced team work with you to create a style that best matches your skin tone, dress, theme and flowers, ensuring you look flawless on your special day.

Taking the stress out of the morning preparations they will travel to you, enabling you to relax and enjoy the process of getting ready.

Working with over 4000 brides, Changing Faces have experience catering for a range of small and large events and have won a number of awards for their professional hair and makeup services.

Makeup

Their very talented and experienced team comprises of eight makeup artists and six wedding hair stylists. All of the makeup that is used is non-heavy, water proof, long-lasting and of course camera ready! They will also apply primers and fixers, ensuring your makeup lasts all day.

In order to look flawless on your big day Changing Faces use a wide range of makeup brands including some of the following:

  • Cover FX

Please note: They can also offer airbrushed make-up.

Makeup takes up to one hour for the bride and from 25 minutes for the bridal party. If you have a large wedding party that require their services they can send at least two makeup artists and two hair stylists. This guarantees that you are your bridal party are ready at least an hour before you are due to leave for your venue- assuring that you have plenty of time to put on your dress before your vehicle arrives.

A trial is recommended for the bride and includes a consultation and assessment.This will take place 6-8 weeks before the big day and allows you to select the style that suits you.

Hair

The business also has their own in-house award winning hair stylists who have lots of experience with a range of wedding hair styles. This is an additional service which compliments their makeup services. The experienced team will work with you to create your perfect hairstyle - promising you look fabulous on your big day.

They can also offer hair extensions, tiaras, clips and veils which can be fitted into the design.

Please note: A deposit of £50-£100 is required for hair and makeup depending on the services required.

Prices

A minimum booking in peak season is the bride plus two members of the bridal team. There will be two members of staff on hand, a makeup artist and hair stylist.

  • Bridal party makeup - £50
  • Bridal party makeup rehearsal- £40 per person
  • Bridal hair trial - £50
  • Bridal hair - £110
  • Bridal party hair - £45
  • Bridal party hair rehearsal- £40 pp
  • Blow dry- from £35
  • Bespoke quotes for parties of 6+
  • Bride only makeup and hair - £260
  • Bride +1 makeup and hair- £360

Travel is included in the price for up to 10 miles from your team member. After 10 miles each mile costs an additional 45p for the return trip.

    I cannot rate Changing Faces highly enough. Two friends recommended them to me and I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I can. Giselle did my makeup and my three gorgeous bridesmaid's makeup too. I absolutely loved it, Giselle was so chilled and calm which was so good on the day! Although I had a trial, my three bridesmaids did not; their makeup was done just beautifully on the day. And mine too! And it lasted perfectly all day. I must admit I was not sure it would as I have very oily skin but it stayed put all day and all night. Thank you so much I cannot thank you enough.

    After looking at lots of different companies I decided to book Changing Faces to do hair and make up for myself, my mum and my bridesmaids on our wedding day back in May. It wasn't the cheapest out there but was well worth the money. They really listen to how you want to look on your wedding day, and are ready to advise you on what hair and makeup will suit you. They even ask to see what your dress looks like so they can see what kind of look you're going for! On the day they were calm and professional and really put us at ease.
