Blessing

There is a beautiful woodland blessing area under the boughs of a grand oak tree. There are benches for 120 guests (plus an additional 20 chairs).

Captains Wood Barn does not have a license for a Legal Registration but you are able to have a personalised ceremony or blessing.

Reception

You have full use of the large barn for your wedding breakfast and reception. The main barn area comfortably seats 130 for dinner (you can squeeze in more if needed). In the evening they can accommodate 200.

An additional marquee or tipi can be added. Speak to the team to discuss your options.

Into the evening, a bonfire can be provided for you and your guests to enjoy when the sun goes down. What a perfect way to end the evening!

Food and Drinks

This is a dry hire venue, so you can choose your own suppliers, including bar and catering. The team will be able to help with reputable and professional recommendations.

Availability

Captains Wood Barn is a unique and exclusive venue, holding a very limited number of weddings every year. Weddings dates are available every Saturday from May to September (inclusive).

The venue is now fully booked for 2024 and 2025. Enquire for 2026 onwards.

The hire of Captains Wood Barn is a one-off fee and includes use of the venue from Friday to Sunday mid-day. There is only one fee with no hidden charges, upselling, nor nasty corkage bills to pay!
