Katrina Boydon is the proud owner of the family-owned business. Living onsite, Mrs B is very hands on and manages all aspects of the business. Born and raised in Wales, before working in the US for many years, Mrs B has a passion for animals and even plans on adding wallabies to the Barnutopia family soon. In 2015 three luxury yurts arrived on site and from there this incredible wedding utopia was born.

Facilities

Yurt Field

The Yurt Field is a sensational location to say 'I do'. Set your ceremony with Gyrn Moeflre mountain as the backdrop, a firm reminder of your solid and unwavering love for each other. There's no better ceremony decoration than the true beauty of nature.

The Dell

The Dell is another popular choice for your wedding vows, and it's easy to see why. The Dell is located next to a babbling stream within the luscious green fields of the estate. Let the gentle sounds of the steady water be the soundtrack as you walk down the aisle to meet your happily ever after.

Event Barn

The Event Barn has set the scene for many fantastic celebrations. The barn has a bar, seating area, dance floor (complete with disco ball) and a designated space for a band to set up. During the cooler months the bar area has wall heaters, perfect for guests to warm their hands whilst catching up over a drink, or three.

The Event Barn is able to host your reception and evening celebrations. Twinkling fairy lights adorn the barn ceiling, creating a magical atmosphere. How you wish to decorate the Event Barn is your decision, whether you're thinking full festival boho, Ibiza chill with white flags swaying in the wind, or a more traditional countryside wedding with haybales and bunting; you go wild, Barnutopia is yours for the taking.

The Dutch Barn

From the indoor fairy light grotto of the Event Barn to the real deal outside, the undisturbed Shropshire skies illuminate your evening celebrations, as you and your guests gather round the firepits to the sound of crackling wood, and the merry beat from guests showing off their best dance moves inside. What a happy scenario this is!

Catering

Catering is not included within the venue hire; however you do have a few options.

1. You can either cater for the wedding yourself, but this is not recommended for groups of over 45. There is a kitchen onsite which can be utilised so if you have any culinary geniuses within your party this could certainly be an option to look into.

2. There are plenty of outstanding local caterers available to hire. You have the flexibility to choose your own wedding food, for example, rustic pizzas and sharing platters, or perhaps a more formal seated meal in the Event Barn. Either way, the choice is firmly yours.

3. Barnutopia are able to professionally cater for your event. Below are the prices of what they can offer.

Tables, chairs and seating - available to hire
Round banqueting tables, chairs, chair covers and table linen. Hay bales are also available to hire for outdoor seating, dependant on the Great British weather.

Tableware and glasses - available to hire

Catering and bar services are not included, however there are options to hire vintage china crockery, cutlery, bar equipment and glassware.

Wedding donkey - available to hire

Donkeys, Andi and Sassy are permanent residents at Barnutopia and love to nuzzle their noses in on the action. They suggest the best way to book them is by contacting Barnutopia and asking for the stars of the show. We've been told their talents lie in dressing up and posing perfectly for wedding photos.

Noise policy

A band and or DJ are allowed in the Event Barn. Please note they must adhere to sound regulations.

Accommodation

The venue hire of Barnutopia can either include or exclude the onsite accommodation options. If you decide to include accommodation there a selection of Glamping Units available as detailed below, all with wonderfully eccentric names, befitting to this cool and quirky venue. The yurt field is set within a breath-taking setting, with views spanning the Gyrn Moelfre mountain.

As well as glamping, there is the option for guests to bring their own tents and set up a wedding campsite on a small pasture within the grounds. A few campervans and caravans are welcome to.
