The medieval-style house at Bailiffscourt was built in 1927 for Lord Moyne. He commissioned Amyas Phillips to design a house that mirrors a medieval property much loved by Moyne's wife. Phillips achieved this beautifully by using original stone, doors, fireplaces and more; giving the house a wonderfully historic look. In 1948 the property was sold and transformed into a hotel, before being bought by Historic Sussex Hotels in 1993.
Within a gorgeous, original, 13th century Norman chapel, you can receive a blessing from the local vicar. This wonderfully historic space can be filled with flowers and candles to create a stunning setting for your big day. Alternatively, you can host your drinks reception within the chapel.
