About
Taking four years to construct with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the University of Oxford, the railway was dismantled and transported to its new location in Quainton in 2001. It was opened in 2004 and has been the site for some big names in film and television including Midsummer Murders, Endeavour and Doctor Who.
Facilities
Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is perfect for intimate gatherings in The Oxford Room or large celebrations on The Platform.
The Oxford Room
This room is suitable for smaller, intimate ceremonies with a capacity up to 30 guests.
The Platform
The Platform is sheltered with a glass roof that allows natural daylight to flood the area. You can have up to 150 guests for your ceremony and seated wedding breakfast. In addition, your evening reception can be accommodated here for up to 180 guests.
Pricing
The cost of hiring Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is dependent on the day. The cost of all day venue hire, tables and chairs on a Saturday is a fixed fee of £3,700. For all other days the fixed fee is £3,000. They operate on a schedule of one wedding a weekend so you can set up for your big day on the Friday if your wedding is on the Saturday.
Catering
This venue does not provide in-house catering, however, they have a recommended supplier whom they've known for years and is familiar with their kitchen. Alternatively, they are happy for you to hire external caterers.

My daughter had her wedding here - such an amazing place for a wedding, especially if you like a vintage vibe and something a bit different.
Mrs R
The most beautiful venue for a wedding. So many friends were amazed at the setting and the very helpful staff, caterers, bar and band.
